Let's think outside the box

It has been reported in council that in some of the neighborhoods where the illegal aliens are living that there is evidence of animal sacrifice or cock-fighting going on. Maybe some of this activity is an attempt to heal or local wounds, what with nasty comments on blogs about grandfathers and the management/'personality" issues in borough management.

I appreciate the attempt at levity, but cockfighting, while not at the same level of brutality as dogfighting, is still a horrible business that abuses animals and is quite illegal.

If there is evidence of cockfighting going on, there should be repeated, vocal attempts to get our police force on the case.

There are a couple of cocks -- one on Bridge Street and one on Church St -- They do a lot of fighting in public. Does that count?

This item about the goats was the "truth" among the 3 "possible fiction" stories on NPR's "Wait! Wait! Don't Tell Me!" News Quiz Show this Saturday.

I usually can pick out the real news story, but this week, for only the 2nd time, I'd actually heard the "true" story ahead of time. (The first time was about the KISS Tribute Band made up of "Little People" -- go figure!)
