Barry really does have ‘magic powers’

September 17, 2002: Barry Cassidy purchased a townhome at 211 Cherry Street in Downingtown from Main Street Village, Inc. The purchase price was $150,047. The deed to Mr. Cassidy was signed by Anthony D’Agostino, President of Main Street Village, Inc.

The financing for the purchase was a $75,000 mortgage loan from WSFS and $75,000 in take-back financing from the developer.

Cassidy was Downingtown’s Main Street Manager from 1994 to 2002.

Now, Barry’s here in Phoenixville as Main Street Manager. Mr. D’Agostino, who was President of Main Street Village, is also the President of S&S Development, now building in Phoenixville.

So, if you’re looking to buy a townhome in Phoenixville and could use 100% financing with a 50% seller take-back, call Barry. Let him tell you how he did it in Downingtown.

I assume that since he is the "Take Charge of Everything" manager, he would have had some influence on how the Main Street project was sold to Downingtown. I wonder if he lobbied for any public money for the cleanup of that old industrial site. There has to be some choice quotes in the DLN that said something like "Hey man, like this project is, like, crucial to the vibe I'm trying to create here".

God Bless Phoenixville!

Any time there is a "leak" of information like this, you have to ask yourself in whose interest is it to make this known at this time. A few weeks ago there seemed to be a real head of steam to look into the doings of the borough manager. Cassidy is such an easy target. The real story is borough money and the two who sign against those funds and make our tax money disappear.
Things have been "leaked" or "held closely" to allow certain people leverage for their political manipulations. And Cassidy was not involved.

Well thats not a leak at all. Just go to chesco.org, recorder or deeds and it is public record. Been there, done that long ago. In fact, it's pretty much standard operating procedure in the world of land development. Like it or not, thats how it is.

I completely agree with anon 6:38 in regards to the real issue. That is regardless of whether Cassidy or the sundance kid comes back to run the CDC.

Why was grant money transfered from helping Reeves Park to Andre Thornton Park?

To anon 7:34, money moved from Reeve's Park to Andre Thornton Park due to the fact that Barry has lived with Pam Dunn and she runs her programs from that park. Wasn't there a Parks Master Plan done at some great expense? And why is it not being used?
