Barry Cassidy--Beyond All Bounds

In his 'Guest Column' in the November 1st Phoenix, Barry Cassidy writes:

"We will be seeking to 'Connect Underutilized Networks of
Transportation' to make sure Norristown is not our window on the world and we connect better with Chester County."

You can't believe that the slogan he chose is an accident.

What is the matter with The Phoenix for publishing this--and as a 'Guest Column' no less?

What is the matter with the Main Street CDC Board for continuing to employ Cassidy?

What is the matter with the Borough Council for empowering this vulgar miscreant to represent our Borough?

Mr B,
Can you help those of us that may be perhaps less privy to pertinent info as to what is wrong with the "slogan"?

Look at the first letter of each word.

I just scanned the article in The Phoenix -- I thought the slogan was a bit strange at the time, but I don't expect lucidity anymore from that author, so I didn't think much about it.

There is a reason newspapers have editors -- at least, there used to be a reason that newspapers had editors, but the Journal-Register has long since abandoned true journalism in favor of revenue enhancement.

Can't wait for The Phoenix's blog to "go live." I don't thik their online editor has a clue what he's in for!

How about "Transportation In Town To Invest in the Economy" --- TITTIE. That way, the room at the Irish Pub that is named after Barry will now become the TITTIE Bar and we all know this town needs a good one of those.

How about "Downtown Revitalization Under No Konditions". That may just fit the CDC's mission.

Maybe this one will catch on. Trash: Obtusely and Unbelievably Pathetic Enterprise.
