THANK GOD!!!!
Welcome back, Barry.
You and Manny have turned this town around. You know it and so does anyone with a brain.
After you both do the brunt of the work, in such typical Phoenixville style, the whiners and complainers are here in the front row attempting to discredit you.
The more things change the more they stay the same.

Let me step up as a whiner and complainer. Five things have helped this town. One is the removal of the overgrown trees on Bridge Street. Two is the increase in the police budget and expanded visibility downtown. Three is the increase in density in all the upscale townships from which people commute through Phoenixville on their way to work or the mall. Four is the collective mostly volunteer effort to restore the Colonial theater and the Foundry building along with the pioneering of merchants at Ellie's and Steel City. Five is the desire of all the people who live in developments to have some connection to the kind of more human feel an authentic downtown has.
None of this has anything to do with Cassidy or Demutis. In fact, Cassidy's blue lights are an affront to the senses and sensibility. For the money we pay, we can get someone who will be professional, hard-working and grounded to do a much better job in a Main Street Community program. All we have to do is advertise. And remember, Cassidy said that he hired his boss - not the other way around. By getting rid of Cassidy, you get rid of DeMutis and remove a big conflict of interest. And in case you haven't noticed, while Cassidy has been giving us his brilliant plans, the downtown businesses which are thriving are those catering to the ever-increasing Latin community. Phoenixville is rapidly becoming the new Reading. Muchos Gracias, senor Barry;
