Willful ignorance is even less of an excuse.
Other than Councilman Buckwalter, who has attended numerous courses and has been designated as a Certified Borough Official, have any of the present Council Members, either newly-elected or incumbent, ever taken any of the courses to inform themselves about their responsibilities as Borough officials?
For $150 and two days of their precious time, Council Members could have taken the "Newly Elected Borough Officials" course, which was offered on February 15th and 16th in Media or March 7th and 8th in Fort Washington.
Ask your Council Member what he has done to learn about what he ought to be doing.
Ask your Council Member exactly how much longer he intends to remain willfully ignorant about the job to which you elected him.

Are you telling me that these bunch of screw ups have refused to take any training offered by the state? Was this training to be paid by the individual member? Are we saying that any slob off of the street corner can become a council memeber? And you are saying that NO ONE has taken a couple of hours to take the courses to better their borough? If not it is almost criminal!
As I said, Councilman Buckwalter has taken a series of courses and has been awarded a CBO designation.
I repeat what I said above: ask your council member what he has done to learn about his job.
Just proves the point that most members of council are sitting for their own agend, not the good of the tax payers.
Most jobs have CEU'S yearly this group has not even taken the steps to be trained.
Reflects on the actions council continues to make daily.
Have we not had enough of Council Members that have had their own agendas? What curse has been bestowed upon this town to deserve this cruel punishment? We do deserve better.
How many more council members have their own personal agenda? How much longer will this poor borough have to put up with this shameful unethical behavior? What has this town done to get this curse?

Pretty harsh. If all the members of the council are there to further their own personal agendas we have no one to blame but ourselves, the voters. As for the newer members of council, it would be great if they could take a course, I think it's worth spending tax dollars on. But let's at least respect the amount of time these people are willing to sacrafice to be on the council in the first place, and the fact that 99% of people are not willing to even do that much.
