The train study proposal.

Thanks to an anonymous contributor, here is the current train study proposal.

(I regret that the proposal, which had been posted earlier, is now gone. Sorry, not my doing. The link is now gone.)

Okay, I read it and unfortunately, I don't see how this is going to happen at all.

Who is the Consultant?

How is this Consultant being paid?

I will believe the report will be ready when I actually see it.

This is a wonderful endeavor. It gives us a lot to work towards in the next decade plus. Where this completely falls apart is when Charlestown says that it would rather have the rail line converted under its rails to trails program instead of a line that nobody in their township will use. Here are some more questions:

1) Why would anyone take the train to the park and ride for the 29 slip ramp?
2) Is there enough room in the Frazier yard for an R5 connection.
3) Is SEPTA willing to make a new stop for any proposed connection?
4) Will a consultant be willing to survey and assess the usage of the ROW for a trail instead of a train?
5) Can we limit the number of Barry Cassidy plans so that we are not saddled with consultant bills for a decade after he leaves the CDC?

I would take the whole thing more seriously if Mr.Ponytail actually knew where the line runs. It is FRAZER not the tv show Frazier. If he wants people to take him seriously maybe he should stop throwing rediculous ideas against the wall to see which ones stick.

Why should " Mr Ponytail" be any diffent than the Boro manager ?
The council has allowed Tony to keep throwing S_____ against the wall, wasting everyones time and the residents monies.
Trash, boro hall, boro garage, moving offices up/down all around ?
sure saving monies ??????
Sooner or later something may work out then he can add that to his resume. Or in Tony's case maybe he can get extra credit on school assingments ????

It takes only a few brain cells to criticize, many more to contribute.

I've already contacted the CDC and will be lending my technical/GIS expertise to assist this project. What are YOU doing to improve Phoenixville?

it is a private donor, no need for boro money, maybe it will succeed maybe it will fail, should we stop now before we know? question was posed above, what are you doing for the future of phoenixville?
